Community Rules

Built to protect everyone.

These rules exist to protect users, creators, and the platform. By using scriptly you agree to follow them and any moderation decisions made under them. Not every prohibited action is listed — staff may act on anything that harms the community, even if not explicitly mentioned below.

1. Malicious Content

Do not upload, distribute, promote, request, or send content intended to harm users, accounts, devices, networks, or services. This includes malware, viruses, trojans, spyware, ransomware, account stealers, password stealers, cookie stealers, token loggers, and any scripts that steal Robux, in-game items, accounts, digital assets, or virtual currency. Scripts that secretly collect, transmit, upload, or store user data are prohibited. If your content collects or stores user information, you must clearly disclose what information is collected and how it is used.

2. Spam, Fake Content, and Platform Abuse

Content must provide legitimate value and accurately represent its purpose. The following are prohibited: fake, broken, misleading, or intentionally non-functional uploads; uploads created primarily to generate clicks, engagement, or advertisements; duplicate uploads of existing content; mass posting repetitive or low-quality content; empty, meaningless, or automated comments; flooding any platform feature with unnecessary content; and artificially manipulating rankings, engagement metrics, or visibility. Staff may remove content considered deceptive, spammy, low-effort, or harmful to platform quality.

3. Adult, Graphic, and Disturbing Content

All publicly visible content must remain suitable for a general audience. The following are prohibited: pornographic or sexually explicit content; sexualized profile content; excessively graphic violence or gore; content intended primarily to shock, disgust, or disturb users; and fetish content or sexually suggestive material. Any content involving the sexual exploitation of minors will result in immediate permanent account termination and may be reported to relevant authorities where required by law.

4. Harassment, Hate Speech, and Abuse

Users must not target others with abusive behavior. The following are prohibited: harassment or bullying; threats of violence or intimidation; hate speech or discriminatory content; targeted abuse based on race, ethnicity, nationality, religion, disability, age, sex, gender identity, or sexual orientation; encouraging self-harm, violence, or criminal activity against others; and repeated unwanted contact after being asked to stop. Disagreements and criticism are allowed. Personal attacks and targeted harassment are not.

5. Privacy, Doxxing, and Personal Information

Respect the privacy of others. The following are prohibited: posting personal information without consent; doxxing or attempting to identify anonymous users; sharing private conversations without permission when doing so would expose personal information; collecting, storing, or distributing personal information about users without a legitimate and disclosed purpose; and attempting to uncover private information through research, social engineering, account history analysis, or similar methods. Personal information includes real names, addresses, phone numbers, email addresses, IP addresses, social media accounts, school or workplace information, location data, and government-issued identifiers. Privacy violations may result in immediate suspension or permanent account termination.

6. Scams, Fraud, and Deceptive Transactions

Scamming users is prohibited both on and off the platform when it involves platform members or platform-related activity. This includes accepting payment without delivering promised goods or services; chargeback fraud; recovering sold accounts or assets after a transaction; misrepresenting ownership, functionality, exclusivity, or quality; knowingly providing false information during trades or transactions; and operating schemes intended to deceive users for financial or personal gain. Severe fraud may result in permanent removal from the platform.

7. Reuploads, Attribution, and Creator Rights

Creators must be properly credited for their work. You may repost content created by another person only if proper attribution is clearly provided, the content is not already available on the platform, and the repost does not misrepresent ownership. The following are prohibited: claiming ownership of work you did not create; removing or falsifying creator credits; mass-uploading content created by others; and reposting content solely to gain visibility or engagement. Staff may remove duplicate or improperly credited content at their discretion.

8. Copyright and Intellectual Property

Do not upload content that infringes another party's intellectual property rights. The following are prohibited: copyright infringement; unauthorized redistribution of proprietary content; uploading content in violation of licenses or agreements; and circumventing ownership protections to redistribute content. Copyright owners may submit valid takedown requests. Repeated infringement may result in account termination. The platform reserves the right to remove content that presents legal or intellectual property concerns.

9. Key Systems and External Links

Scripts that require keys or external verification systems must disclose that requirement accurately. Key systems must be clearly identified. Key links must accurately point to the key system. Descriptions must accurately explain access requirements. The following are prohibited: misleading key systems; fake or non-functional key links; requiring unrelated downloads to access content; using key systems to distribute malicious content; and using platform features primarily for advertising external services. Staff may remove misleading or abusive key systems without notice.

10. Impersonation and Misrepresentation

Do not impersonate individuals, groups, organizations, creators, staff members, or platform representatives. The following are prohibited: pretending to be another user; falsely claiming staff status; falsely claiming ownership of content; misrepresenting affiliations, partnerships, or endorsements; and creating accounts designed to confuse or mislead users. Parody accounts may be permitted if they are clearly identified and cannot reasonably be mistaken for the real person or entity.

11. Automation, Exploitation, and Security Abuse

Do not use automation or technical means to abuse the platform. The following are prohibited: automated account creation; automated posting, commenting, reporting, or engagement manipulation; circumventing rate limits or platform protections; attempting unauthorized access to accounts, systems, or data; exploiting vulnerabilities without authorization; and interfering with platform operation or availability. Security research conducted responsibly and reported privately may be exempt at staff discretion.

12. Ban Evasion

Moderation actions apply to all accounts owned or controlled by a user. The following are prohibited: creating alternate accounts to bypass restrictions; accessing the platform through replacement accounts after a ban; and assisting another user in evading enforcement actions. Accounts associated with ban evasion may be suspended or terminated without warning.

13. Licensing and Content Responsibility

You are responsible for all content you upload, publish, or distribute. By posting content, you represent that you have the necessary rights to share it, the content complies with applicable laws, and the content complies with these rules. You remain solely responsible for any legal consequences arising from your content.

FAQ

Common questions

Short answers covering enforcement, safety, and appeals.

Enforcement

What happens if I break a rule?

+

Violations may result in content removal, account restrictions, temporary suspensions, permanent bans, loss of platform features, or any other action deemed necessary. The severity of the action depends on the nature of the violation, prior history, and impact on the community.

Example: A first-time minor spam comment might receive a warning. Uploading an account stealer will result in an immediate permanent ban.

Enforcement

Can staff take action even if something isn't listed here?

+

Yes. Not every prohibited action can be listed. Staff may take action against behavior that harms users, creators, the platform, or the community, even if that behavior is not explicitly mentioned. Attempts to exploit loopholes, technicalities, omissions, or ambiguities may be treated as violations.

Safety

What makes a script 'malicious'?

+

Any content intended to harm users, accounts, devices, networks, or services. This includes malware, account stealers, token loggers, scripts that steal Robux or in-game items, and scripts that secretly collect or transmit user data without clear disclosure.

Example: A script that silently POSTs a user's session cookie to a remote server is malicious and will result in an immediate permanent ban.

Safety

Is obfuscated code allowed?

+

Heavy obfuscation that hides behavior from review is discouraged and may be rejected. We need to be able to understand what a script does to verify it is safe. Simple wrappers or minification are usually fine; multi-layer obfuscation with no source provided is not.

Example: A basic loadstring wrapper with a clear description is usually acceptable. A heavily obfuscated dump with no explanation is likely to be removed.

Appeals

Can I appeal a moderation decision?

+

Yes. Users may appeal moderation actions through approved channels. Submitting an appeal does not guarantee reversal. Staff decisions are final unless overturned through the official appeal process.

Appeals

What should I do if I see someone breaking the rules?

+

Use the built-in report button on the relevant content, comment, or profile. Do not retaliate or start public arguments. The moderation team reviews every report fairly.
